Services Available

Tribal General Welfare

     Eligible tribal members without dependents in the home may qualify for $500 annually to assist those in need of help paying their bills or to assist in emergency situations. *Shut off notice is NOT required for application!* Complete application and guidelines available from the office or can be downloaded.

Family Preservation

     Eligible tribal members with dependents in the home may qualify for $600 annually to assist with necessities to keep the family intact. This program involves case management support and referrals for additional services that may be needed during assessment. Also available through this program is an emergency pantry for use that includes food, hygiene items, toiletries, laundry soap and baby care items. Back to school book-bags and supplies are also available at the start of the school year. Social worker will address each family’s individualized needs in the goal of maintaining a safe, healthy, stable family unit. ICWA

     Individualized services and assistance for tribal youth and their families who are in the foster care system within the states. This involves notices that the tribe receives regarding children who may be enrolled members or are eligible for enrollment and are currently within the state juvenile system. The goal of this program is to advocate for Native American children to ensure a safe placement that supports their cultural background. If your family has a youth who is enrolled or eligible for enrollment and is involved in state court Child in Need of Care Proceedings, pleaes contact the office.

Foster Care

     Individualized services and assistance for tribal youth and their families who are in the foster care system through tribal courts. This includes case management and family reintegration plans while tribal youth are in out of home placements. Social worker is responsible for recruiting and training foster families as well as finding appropriate placements when a child is removed from the home within the tribal system. If you are interested in becoming a tribal foster parent, please contact the office for additional information.

Independent Living

     Available to youth ages 15 – 21 who are anticipated to be within the foster care system until they reach the age of 18 years. This program provides funding for individualized plans to assist the youth to attain skills necessary to live independently as an adult.

Additional Services

     Referrals to other community resources available. Call or stop in the office to discuss resources available to meet your needs. We have applications for several local assistance programs available, and we can help you complete those as needed.
    Computers are available in the office for community use to search for jobs and to create a resume.
    Office staff can assist you in developing a resume - this is a very useful employment tool! Office walk-ins are welcome!
