POSITION: INVESTIGATOR/LICENSING AGENT

STATUS: Hourly
HOURS OF OPERATION: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm M-F
JOB SUMMARY:
Sac & Fox Gaming Commission Licensing Agent/investigator is responsible for ensuring the license process is adhered to, collection of all licensing fees, completing all procedures associated with the licensing process, ensuring the State Gaming Agency receives all paperwork associated with CAT I and CAT Il backgrounds, tracking the applicant's paperwork and providing the Gaming Commission with accurate reports so a licensing decision can be made.
Licensing Agent/investigator is responsible for conducting background checks on all CAT Ill licenses, or any other license as requested, and any enforcement and investigations of reported violations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1 . Be a point of contact between the applicant, the Gaming Commission, the State Gaming Agency, and National Indian Gaming Commission.
2. Maintain the strictest of CONFIDENTIALITY in all aspects of the position.
3. Issue the correct disclosure forms to the applicant.
4. Review completed disclosure forms prior to the applicant leaving the office, and complete all paperwork or checklists associated with the licensing process.
5. Process the applicant during the licensing procedure: i.e. fingerprint, photograph, and enter information into the licensing computer.
6. Make a copy of the disclosure form for the commission files and send the original to the State Gaming Agency for all CAT I and CAT Il investigations.
7. Conduct timely background investigations on CAT Ill licenses and other upon request. Investigations shall include but not limited to:
a. Credit Report Checks
b. Review of courthouse records for criminal and civil records for the past 12 months.
c. Arrest Records
d. Reference Checks
8. Provide the Commission with an overview report, which will allow the commission to make a license decision.
9. Complete any conditional license agreement the commission decides is appropriate.
10. Send suitability determination forms for Cat t and Il to National Indian Gaming Commission.
1 1 . Maintain the licensing files and databases, ensuring all employees have valid licenses.
12. Make appointments with applicants to provide the State Gaming Agency with all updates or additional information concerning current and past licenses.
18. Process the ID Badges for casino employees.
14. Coordinate the investigative process with Local State and Tribal law enforcement personnel.
15. Conduct all internal investigations of the regulatory agency and of other department personnel if requested.
16. Maintain and conduct Self-bar file and send notifications to patron, State, Security, Surveillance and Inspectors.
17. Maintain and update Excluded persons file from the Casino.
18. Perform background on Non-Gaming, and Gaming Vendors.
19. Prepares monthly reports to commission. Reports shall include but not limited to:
a. Number of completed CAT Ill investigations
b. Number of completed renewal of license investigations
c. Number of Non-gaming vendor investigations
d. Number of Gaming investigations
e. Number of internal investigations performed
20. Attend training as assigned.
21. All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
An Investigator must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED, obtain a CAT I License, be at least 1 8 years of age, have investigative skills, have report writing skills, have the ability to observe details, and possess a willingness to learn. Law enforcement experience or degree preferred.

Standing, walking, hearing, speaking, seeing, writing and/or typing.
Physical Environment: exposure to:
Noise, crowds, smoking environment, Travel to courthouses in surrounding counties.
Mental Demands:
Reading, detailed work, periods of concentrated attention.
ACCESS TO AREAS:
An Licensing Agent/lnvestigator shall have access to the following areas: Security Office, Support Facilities, Surveillance, and Gaming and Casino cage areas, and any other areas necessary to perform job duties.
